Fits all Branson 5170, 501, 8800, 851, 900 series and 2000 series standard actuators, assembly stands, and IW systems, Dukane 43x2xx presses and thrusters, Sonics and Materials E, F, and G systems, and many Ultra Sonic Seal systems. Check mounting ring and stud sizes to be sure. Input and output threads are 1/2-20. Adapter studs are available if required.

Description

These 20KHz aluminum boosters are precision made from certified materials and tuned to tight frequency tolerances for trouble free operation. These boosters are less durable than titanium boosters but have lower mass and higher thermal conductivity so may be preferred in continuous or high duty cycle applications or where low stack mass is desired but are not recommended where frequent stack assembly/disassembly occurs.

They are constructed with a 3.25″ diameter by 0.75″ thick mounting ring set that is made to be disassembled for o-ring replacement.

Input stud is 1/2-20, output thread is 1/2-20. Order step studs if required to adapt.

20KHz Stack Vise for Ultrasonic Tooling

This stainless steel stack vise is designed specifically to clamp 20KHz converter front slugs and booster spanner "collars" during assembly or disassembly to reduce damage to expensive ultrasonic stack components. The vise features two clamping chambers, one for tooling 1.5" (38 mm) dia. and one for tooling 1.8" (46 mm) dia. The two-pin hinge design allows the upper jaw to "float" and seek the best clamp position on the tool for maximum contact. The securing bolt has a long lever handle that can be re-positioned out of the way once secured. The securing bolt can be completely removed so the upper vise jaw can be fully opened. The steel spanner-hole pins are set in stepped holes such that they can be driven out from the bottom of the vise should they ever need replacement.

High Pressure Silicone Ultrasonic Stack Grease

The function of grease in the joint is to: 1. Fill the microscopic valleys in the surface of the tooling to improve acoustic transfer from one component to the next. 2. Remain in the joint so the metal of the two pieces of tooling do not become "clad" together by the action of the ultrasound and thus impossible to disassemble. Never use grease and a polymer washer in the same joint.

This is a specially heat treated steel socket-head stud with 1/2-20 threads on one end and 3/8-24 threads on the other. Used for adapting horns to boosters that do not have the same thread size. No warranty.
