The AM20922R model is a modification of our AM20922 that incorporates the military-style connector rather than the acorn nut on the 922JA. These units will be made to order from in-stock parts and are available for shipment typically within two business days from receipt of your order.
All of the components used in construction of these converters are all new, not recovered from scrapped units. These converters are made in a highly controlled and repeatable manner to duplicate the performance of the OEM models. The parts are made from certified materials in tightly controlled manufacturing processes, assembled and tested in a climate-controlled environment using carefully calibrated equipment, then properly aged and re-tested to ensure performance that duplicates the OEM part. The entire process is conducted in a ISO registered facility. Best of all, since the manufacturing process is so carefully controlled, durability is assured.
Our converters do not look like a Branson 922RA even though specifically designed to replace them. Chrome plating is expensive and non-functional, as is grooving the housing. We note that many suppliers who copy Branson’s appearance also use the 922RA model designation, possibly to cause buyers to think they are getting a 922RA made by Branson.
Shortly after introducing the 900 series 2000W units in about 1986, Branson discovered that some high-power applications would not run properly. They solved this problem by adding a circuit board with the primary function of adding additional capacitance to the 922R converter and renamed it 922RA. Our 922RA replacement converter (AM20922R) contains such a circuit board in the housing just above the driver back slug to match Branson 922RA performance..
We worked very hard to incorporate functional improvements to the OEM design to make these units more durable. We left no stone unturned to try to give you the best product anyone knows how to make. We are proud to make a unit that looks different and probably outperforms the OEM unit. As with replacement parts for automobiles, often the aftermarket part is much better and less expensive than the OEM part.
We offer the same warranty as the OEM, namely, three years one-time replacement. Simply ship the broken unit back to arrive within three years of original shipment, and it will be replaced (one time) if the failure is the result of a defect in material or workmanship.
